Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center in Covington, LA seeks Behavioral Health Technicians to support admissions, transportation, meals, medications and daily supervision. This is a frontline role in a busy residential setting.

You will engage clients, build rapport, enforce safety policies, monitor progress and document incidents promptly. You’ll work with a round-the-clock team of doctors, nurses, counselors and technicians dedicated to compassionate, evidence-based care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid drivers license and CPR certification preferred.
• If in recovery, a minimum one-year period of sustained sobriety required.
• Strong interpersonal and multitasking skills.
• Warm, compassionate and empathetic personality.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational support to medical and clinical teams (admissions, transportation, meals, medication, supervision, phones etc.)
• Engage and build rapport with clients, creating a warm, accepting recovery environment
• Monitor clients and enforce all Avenues policies to ensure safety of both clients and staff
• Record and escalation any critical communication/ incidents in a timely manner
• Fulfill all administrative duties (shift documentation, inventory, meetings, office support etc.)
