Job summary

Burrell Behavioral Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician I in Poplar Bluff, MO to provide direct and supportive care to clients in Recovery Services. The role includes crisis intervention, health monitoring, and documenting client behaviors to maintain a therapeutic environment.

The position emphasizes trauma-informed support, collaboration with treatment teams, and adherence to program expectations.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent with two years of responsible employment.
• Experience in Human Services or a related field is preferred.
• For Residential Care Facility (RCF): Become credentialed as a Level 1 Med Aid (LIMA) and be Insulin Certified within the first ninety days in position.

Responsibilities

• Admit, supervise, monitor, transfer, and discharge clients/patients.
• Encourage clients/patients to adhere to program expectations in a trauma-informed manner while communicating concerns to the treatment team.
• Monitor vital signs and determine when to escalation to medical intervention for critical symptoms.
• Obtain and record vital signs and relevant medical symptoms as indicated by medical personnel.
• Oversee medication administration per policy and procedure.
• Maintain accurate records of client medications and their self-administration.
• Facilitate urine collection, testing, lab send-offs, and document accordingly.
• Prepare for and facilitate group rehabilitative support and education sessions.
• Provide client/patient transportation as needed to appointments.
