Behavioral Health Technician (BHT), Pediatric Outpatient

Position Summary:

Responsible for supporting the therapeutic milieu and/or providing individual CPST services under the direction of a Team Lead and Clinical Supervisor. Ensures that the schedule/program is consistently delivered, clients are supervised, safety is maintained, and clients and families are treated with respect and dignity.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or degree from an accredited college; a combination of education and relevant work experience may be required.
• Previous experience in a mental health or education setting with young children, especially those with mental health or behavioral difficulties.
• CPR certification and Handle With Care (HWC) certification within 30 days of employment.
• Completion of additional mental health training within 30 days of employment.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Flexibility to work hours and overtime as needed.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Assign daily tasks and responsibilities.
2. Provide individual CPST services to assigned caseload.
3. Assist therapists and other providers with daily program delivery.
4. Complete daily clinical documentation of services provided.
5. Gather information for quality assurance and program performance measures.
6. Schedule and facilitate treatment team and transition/discharge meetings as applicable.
7. Collaborate consistently with parents/guardians and the treatment team.
8. Complete all required educational and training courses.
