Job summary

Quail Run Behavioral Health in Phoenix, AZ, seeks a Behavioral Health Technician (Intake) to join the treatment team. You will provide continuous patient care, supervision, and role modeling across units serving adolescents to geriatrics, under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities include accurately checking in patients, entering demographic and clinical data into the EMR, recording vital signs, and monitoring patient locations per policy to support timely admissions and ongoing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• 1 year of experience in psychiatric setting.
• Handle With Care and BLS for Providers required; Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Accurately check in patients upon arrival and enter required demographic and clinical information into the EMR to initiate admissions efficiently.
• Take and record vital signs promptly and ensure patient safety through continuous supervision.
• Monitor patient locations per the Observation Policy and document changes in appearance, behavior, or progress toward treatment goals.

Job Description

Behavioral Heath Technician (Intake) functions as an active part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling to patients ranging in age from adolescents through geriatrics depending on which unit worked. BHT’S work under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Accurately check in patients upon arrival and promptly enter required demographic and clinical information into the electronic medical record to initiate and support the admission process in a timely and efficient manner.

• Take and record vital signs promptly and ensure patient safety through continuous supervision of patient.

• Monitor each patient’s location per the Observation Policy and Procedure and utilize sound judgment during assessment and observe and documents any changes in a patient's appearance, behavior, or ability to work toward treatment plan goals.

Qualifications

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree in the field of behavioral health preferred.
• 1 year of experience working in psychiatricsetting required.
• Handle With Care and Basic Life Support (BLS) for Providers required. Training provided at the facility.
• Level 1 Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card or be able to obtain within 30 days of hire.
