Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory, NC is seeking a compassionate Behavioral Health Tech (CNA I) to support patients in an 81-bed Adult Behavioral Health Unit. This in-person role covers night shifts (3x12) on a rotating schedule, with weekends and holidays rotating.

More About Our Team

Join our team in a 81-bed Adult Behavioral Health Unit. Staffed with Registered Nurses (RNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), Mental Health Technicians, Social Work Therapists, Recreational Therapists and Psychiatric Providers. Our unit treats a variety of diagnoses such as Major Depressive Disorder (MDD), Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) and Substance Use Disorder (SUD). Patients may present with psychosis, suicidal ideation, homicidal ideation, mania, or exacerbations of mental illness. This role offers an opportunity to work collaboratively in a supportive environment focused on providing quality care and support to individuals experiencing behavioral health crises.

Applicants should have a current state NA I license and completed NA course from an accredited school. Additional requirements include:

• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
