Job Title: Behavioral Health Technician (BHT)

Location: Highland Springs in Highland Hills, OH

Hours per week: 36

Schedule: 7:00pm-7:30am

Weekend Requirement: Every other

How You'll Contribute

The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) is responsible for conducting functional analyses of patient behavior, participating as a member of the treatment team, contributing to the Master Treatment Plan and implementing appropriate interventions from the plan. You are also responsible for conducting individual and group psycho-evaluations, leisure activities, and life-skill training for patients.

Essential Functions

  • Observes and monitors patient's status according to patient monitoring standards, policies, and procedures. This may include vital signs, weight log, intake and output, dietary intake, 15-minute rounds, admission checklists, etc.
  • Provides verbal and written input to nursing staff via ongoing reporting and end of shift report so patient needs are prioritized
  • Demonstrates proficiency and skill in providing care to patients
  • Ensures that they are interacting with patients on the unit consistently
  • Provides timely and accurate information on patient behavior and progress to the interdisciplinary team

Qualifications:
