The Behavioral Health Technician-Applied Behavior Analysis (BHT-ABA) implements behavioral interventions for a member diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. This position is responsible for providing one-on-one service, tracking goal data, and collaborating with other team members to ensure the member is progressing towards their goals.
Responsibilities
- Implements procedures outlined in the individualized treatment plans (ITPs)
- Provides 1:1, face-to-face behavioral interventions
- Provides modeling and support to parents/caregivers, teachers, and other treatment team members
- Communicates with peers and co-workers to ensure continuity of care for members
- Participates in supervision sessions with colleagues and supervisors to review cases, interventions, and progress
- Collects and updates data on behavioral interventions
- Setting and adhering to professional boundaries with all members and parents/caregivers, teachers, and other treatment team members
- Provides culturally aware and competent services
- Completes all training requirements as outlined in the Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS) regulations
- Travels to various community settings to provide services, as determined by the member's assessment and ITP (typically, travel will make up no more than 20% of a BHT-ABA's time per week)

Qualifications:
- Must have 1 of the following:
- Have a certification as a BCaBA
- Have a certification as an RBT
- Have a certification as a BCAT
- Have a behavior analysis certification from an organization that is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies or the American National Standards Institute
- Have a high school diploma or the equivalent of a high school diploma and have completed a 40-hour training covering the RBT Task List as evidenced by a certification that includes the name of the responsible trainer, who is certified as a BCBA or BCaBA
- Have a minimum of 2 years of experience in providing ABA services and a minimum of 40 hours of training related to ABA approved by the Department or provided by a continuing education provider approved by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board

Child Abuse (no more than five years/60 months from the date of hire)
FBI Fingerprint Check (no more than five years/60 months from the date of hire)
PATCH (no more than five years/60 months from the date of hire)
Mandated Reporter Training (no more than one year/365 days from hire)
First Aid/CPR certification (must be maintained during employment period)

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, handle or feel, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
