Join our team at Burrell Behavioral Health as a Behavioral Health Technician in the Kansas City, Missouri area! You will support clinical staff and deliver compassionate care in various settings, including inpatient hospitals, outpatient clinics, residential treatment, and partial hospitalization programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care and Safety: Monitor patients, assist with daily tasks, de-escalate situations, enforce safety protocols, prevent self-harm, and notify staff of changes in condition.
  • Therapeutic Activities and Group Facilitation: Lead recreational, occupational, and therapeutic activities to promote skills and symptom management.
  • Milieu Management: Maintain clean, organized spaces and promote positive behaviors.
  • Documentation: Record observations and interventions accurately in electronic or paper records.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with multidisciplinary teams to optimize care and participate in meetings.
  • Treatment Plan Implementation: Support individualized treatment plans, including medication and therapy modalities.
  • Client Education: Teach about symptoms, triggers, coping, and relapse prevention.
  • Discharge Planning: Assist in transition planning and resource linkage.
  • Self-Care: Practice stress management and maintain work-life balance.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent, or two years of relevant experience
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Flexibility and compassion
