Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center in Baton Rouge, LA seeks Behavioral Health Technicians to support clinical teams, assist with admissions and daily operations, and ensure a safe, recovery-focused environment for clients.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, CPR certification, and sobriety if in recovery. The role emphasizes empathy, multitasking, and adherence to recovery principles in a supportive workplace.

• Valid Driver's license and CPR certification preferred.
• If in recovery, a minimum one-year period of sustained sobriety required.
• Strong interpersonal and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational support to medical and clinical teams (admissions, transportation, meals, medication, supervision, phones etc.).
• Engage and build rapport with clients, creating a warm, accepting recovery environment.
• Monitor clients and enforce all policies to ensure safety of clients and staff.
• Record and elevate any critical communication/ incidents in a timely manner.
• Fulfill all administrative duties (shift documentation, inventory, meetings, office support etc.).

What You'll Do

• Provide day-to-day operational support to medical and clinical teams (admissions, transportation, meals, medication, supervision, phones etc.)
