Job summary

Pathways seeks a Behavioral Health Technician to provide one-to-one services for children and adolescents with emotional or behavioral disturbances. You will travel to clients' homes or schools daily, following prescribed treatment plans and delivering interventions and consequences as outlined.

With guidance from a Behavioral Consultant, you will educate parents, set boundaries, and promote independence while offering support to professionals. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• BCaBA, RBT, or BCAT certification required or in progress.
• 2+ years of experience delivering Behavioral Health services.
• HS diploma or equivalent with 40-hour RBT training completed or able to complete within 10 days of hire; training time paid.

• Set boundaries with clients and families to prevent dependency; educate and support parents and professionals.

About your Role:

As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will provide one-to-one services to children and adolescents between the ages of 2-24, who are confronted with serious, identified, emotional and/or behavioral disturbances. With the support and guidance of the Behavioral Consultant, you will aid in improving independent, age-appropriate functioning to levels which require less or no service intervention. You will travel to the clients' home/school/service location daily being sure to follow the prescribed treatment plan and provide behavioral and treatment interventions and consequences to the client. Setting boundaries with clients and their families to prevent dependency upon your services as you also provide support to parents and adult professionals. Being sure to educate and train parents/young adults to utilize these skills, providing positive reinforcement and provide culturally aware and competent service provision

• Certified as BCaBA, RBT, or BCAT.
• 2 years’ prior Behavior Health Certification or Behavior Analysis Certification from an organization that is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies or the American National Standards Institute
• High School diploma or equivalent and completed the 40hr RBT Training (RBT Task List) Certification (or ability to complete this within the first 10 days of hire- you will be paid for this training time)
• Minimum of 2 years-experience providing Behavioral Health services
