Job summary

Pathways is seeking an Asa Behavioral Health Technician to deliver one-to-one services to children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral disturbances. You will travel to homes or schools daily to implement treatment plans and provide interventions, ensuring boundaries and empowering families with skills.

With support from the Behavioral Consultant, you will educate parents, reinforce positive behaviors, and deliver culturally competent care across settings.

Qualifications

• Certified BCaBA, RBT, or BCAT.
• 2 years’ prior Behavioral Health Certification or Behavior Analysis Certification from an organization that is accredited by the NCACS or ANSI.
• High School diploma or equivalent and completed the 40hr RBT Training (or ability to complete this within the first 10 days of hire).
• Minimum of 2 years-experience providing Behavioral Health services.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one services to children/adolescents aged 2–24 with emotional/behavioral disturbances.
• Travel to clients' home/school/service location daily to follow prescribed treatment plans.
• Provide behavioral interventions, set boundaries, and educate parents/adults to use skills.
• Offer culturally aware, competent services and positive reinforcement.

Education

BCaBA/RBT/BCAT certification

2+ years Behavioral Health certification/ABA cert (NCACS/ANSI accredited)

High School diploma + 40hr RBT Training

About your Role

Asa Behavioral Health Technician, you will provide one-to-one services to children and adolescents between the ages of 2-24, who are confronted with serious, identified, emotional and/or behavioral disturbances. With the support and guidance of the Behavioral Consultant, you will aid in improving independent, age-appropriate functioning to levels which require less or no service intervention. You will travel to the clients' home/school/service location daily being sure to follow the prescribed treatment plan and provide behavioral and treatment interventions and consequences to the client. Setting boundaries with clients and their families to prevent dependency upon your services as you also provide support to parents and adult professionals. Being sure to educate and train parents/young adults to utilize these skills, providing positive reinforcement and provide culturally aware and competent service provision

Requirements

• Certified asBCaBA, RBT, or BCAT.


• 2 years’ priorBehavior Health Certification or Behavior Analysis Certification from an organization that is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies or the American National Standards Institute


• High School diploma or equivalent and completed the 40hr RBT Training (RBT Task List) Certification (or ability to complete this within the first 10 days of hire- you will be paid for this training time)


• Minimum of 2 years-experience providing Behavioral Health services
