Job summary

Pathways seeks a Behavioral Health Technician to deliver one-to-one services to children and adolescents aged 2–24 with emotional/behavioral disturbances. The role travels daily to clients' home, school, or service location and follows the prescribed treatment plan.

You will educate families, set boundaries to prevent dependency, and support parents and professionals with culturally aware, evidence-based interventions.

Qualifications

• Certified BCaBA, RBT, or BCAT is required.
• 2 years of Behavioral Health Certification or equivalent experience.
• High School diploma with completion of the 40hr RBT Training or ability to complete within 10 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one behavioral services to children and adolescents ages 2–24.
• Travel daily to clients' home/school/service locations following the treatment plan.
• Set boundaries with clients and families; educate and support parents and professionals.
• Provide positive reinforcement and culturally competent service.

About your Role:

Asa Behavioral Health Technician, you will provide one-to-one services to children and adolescents between the ages of 2-24, who are confronted with serious, identified, emotional and/or behavioral disturbances. With the support and guidance of the Behavioral Consultant, you will aid in improving independent, age-appropriate functioning to levels which require less or no service intervention. You will travel to the clients' home/school/service location daily being sure to follow the prescribed treatment plan and provide behavioral and treatment interventions and consequences to the client. Setting boundaries with clients and their families to prevent dependency upon your services as you also provide support to parents and adult professionals. Being sure to educate and train parents/young adults to utilize these skills, providing positive reinforcement and provide culturally aware and competent service provision

• Certified asBCaBA, RBT, or BCAT.


• 2 years’ priorBehavior Health Certification or Behavior Analysis Certification from an organization that is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies or the American National Standards Institute


• High School diploma or equivalent and completed the 40hr RBT Training (RBT Task List) Certification (or ability to complete this within the first 10 days of hire- you will be paid for this training time)


• Minimum of 2 years-experience providing Behavioral Health services
