Job summary

Pathways is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to provide one-to-one services for children and adolescents ages 2–24 with emotional or behavioral disturbances. You will travel to clients’ home or school daily, implementing the prescribed treatment plan and delivering interventions to improve independence and reduce need for ongoing services.

Under supervision of a Behavioral Consultant, you will educate parents and professionals, set clear boundaries, and provide culturally competent care

Qualifications

• Certified BCaBA, RBT, or BCAT is required.
• 2 years of prior Behavioral Health certification or ABA certification from an accredited organization.
• High School diploma or equivalent and completion of the 40h RBT Training or ability to complete within 10 days of hire (training paid).
• Minimum of 2 years experience providing Behavioral Health services.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one services to children and adolescents aged 2–24.
• Travel daily to clients' home/school/service location following the treatment plan.
• Deliver behavioral and treatment interventions and consequences as prescribed.
• Set boundaries with clients and families to prevent dependency and educate/train parents and young adults to use skills.
• Provide culturally aware and competent service provision.

About your Role:
As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will provide one-to-one services to children and adolescents between the ages of 2-24, who are confronted with serious, identified, emotional and/or behavioral disturbances. With the support and guidance of the Behavioral Consultant, you will aid in improving independent, age-appropriate functioning to levels which require less or no service intervention. You will travel to the clients' home/school/service location daily being sure to follow the prescribed treatment plan and provide behavioral and treatment interventions and consequences to the client. Setting boundaries with clients and their families to prevent dependency upon your services as you also provide support to parents and adult professionals. Being sure to educate and train parents/young adults to utilize these skills, providing positive reinforcement and provide culturally aware and competent service provision.

• Certified asBCaBA, RBT, or BCAT.
• 2 years’ priorBehavior Health Certification or Behavior Analysis Certification from an organization that is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies or the American National Standards Institute
• High School diploma or equivalent and completed the 40hr RBT Training (RBT Task List) Certification (or ability to complete this within the first 10 days of hire- you will be paid for this training time)
• Minimum of 2 years-experience providing Behavioral Health services
