Mingus Mountain Youth Treatment Center (MMYTC) is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to support adolescents in a residential setting in Arizona. The role offers a base pay of $18.50–$20.30 per hour plus a $2–$3 shift differential and a $2,000 signing bonus with a retention bonus.

Shifts run 7am-3pm and 3pm-11pm with weekend availability. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least two years in human services, and the ability to obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must pass a thorough background check and obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED; minimum two years in human services or related fields.
• Experience with youth and/or behavioral health settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety, accountability and security of campus.
• Teach, coach and supervise daily living activities, meals, hygiene.
• Supervise intramurals, sports, academics and extracurriculars on/off campus.
• Observe peer culture for progress or regression in the program.
• Monitor individual student behavior and progress toward treatment goals.
• Communicate effectively, in writing and verbally.
• Follow and implement individual treatment plans for all students.
• Recognize escalating behaviors and intervene to ensure safety.
