Job summary

Accanto Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to support the residential and inpatient milieu, helping clients develop skills for eating disorder recovery and maintaining a recovery-oriented environment. This part-time role is 0.4 FTE (16 hours/week) on the 3rd shift (10:00 PM–6:30 AM) with rotating weekends/holidays.

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, behavioral health, or related field preferred; certification/licensure welcomed.
• Associate degree or higher or 2+ years healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with multi-disciplinary team on care plans and admissions.
• Support or assist residents in programming, meals, snacks, and outings.
• Engage with residents, document observations in charts, and report findings.
• Monitor bathroom use and exercise as directed by treatment.
• Enforce policies and complete hourly room-checks.

Position Overview

Upcoming site relocation to Aurora, OH

The Behavioral Health Technician supports the residential and inpatient milieu by facilitating therapeutic activity groups, assisting clients in acquiring skills to manage their eating disorder, maintaining a recovery-oriented environment, and providing general support and assistance.

Schedule

Part-time, 0.4 FTE (16 hours/week)

3rd shift, 10p-6:30a

Rotating weekends and holidays required (Pending staff needs)

Compensation Disclosure

BHT I: Starting hourly range between $20- $22.00 per hr

Final Compensation offered will be within pay range based on qualifications/experience met for the position

How Behavior Health Technicians Empower Recovery

• Partners with the multi-disciplinary team on care plan and treatment, assisting in admissions, supporting or assisting clients in programming
• Participates in therapeutic meals and snacks and provides support during structured outings and recreation
• Available to engage, challenge, and support residents as needed. Reports observations and documents in charts
• Monitors and supports bathroom use per client treatment direction. Monitors and documents exercise.
• Responsible for enforcing appropriate policies with residents and completing all expected tasks including hourly room-checks

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Associate degree or higher or at least 2 years of healthcare experience in a similar position/ related field preferred. (i.e. Paraprofessional, Mental Health Technician, Behavior Specialist, Recovery Coach).
• Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, behavioral health, or a related field; a relevant certification or licensure preferred.
• Must have valid driver's license and be authorized to drive
• Previous direct mental health experience preferred
