Our Company is seeking an EXPERIENCED Behavioral Health Technician (BHT).

Our ideal candidate will go the extra mile, be a team player, have prior medical and substance abuse experience providing client-care services in a behavioral healthcare setting, and be a detailed-oriented individual with at least two years of experience. The technician is responsible for facilitating meetings and providing structure for, during, and after hours and weekend activities.

Additional Duties:

  • The Behavioral Health Tech assists in the admission process, answers client questions, and assists clients in adjusting to the program routine. They are the liaison between the client and staff to report any changes in the clients' physical or mental condition and are responsible for supervising clients with emphasis on client safety and wellbeing.
  • Assists with new client admissions and orientation procedures and schedules.
  • Records inventory log of all personal belongings, valuables, and return tickets, which are kept in the safe.
  • Facilitates all orientation groups with clients.
  • Fills out required lab requisitions per protocol.
  • Monitors client locations at all times.
  • De-escalates AMA and other client problems.
  • Participates in all scheduled staff meetings.
  • Provides liaison with staff and other techs to ensure client needs are met.
  • Supervises meals, including servers and cleanup crew.
  • Provides emotional support and refers clients to therapy staff for clinical issues.
  • Completes all paperwork accurately and timely, including incident reports.
  • Communicates effectively with staff to promote quality client care.
  • Maintains clean and stocked work areas.
  • Completes UA Screen Collection per protocol.
  • Uses sound professional judgment and seeks assistance to manage client behavior.
  • Follows all company policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • DBT training is a plus.
  • Must be 21 years old, with a valid driver’s license.
  • Experience in overseeing activities, documenting client information, assisting medical staff, and emergency response.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, ability to multi-task, and good communication skills.
  • Must have own transportation and hold a valid driver’s license.
  • Candidates in recovery with at least 1 year sobriety are encouraged to apply.
  • Flexible schedule, with shift options and willingness to adapt to changing environments.
  • Understanding of treatment and the 12-step recovery process is preferred.

Schedules available:

  • 1st shift: 7 am-3 pm
  • 2nd shift: 3 pm-11 pm
  • 3rd shift: 11 pm-7 am
