Job summary

Burrell Behavioral Health in Salem, Missouri, seeks a Behavioral Health Technician I to support clients on their recovery journey. You will monitor vital signs, assist with daily activities, and collaborate with the treatment team to implement care plans in a safe, therapeutic environment.

You will provide direct supportive care, lead group activities, document observations, and respond to crises as part of a compassionate, patient-centered team dedicated to improving community mental health.

Qualifications

  • High School education or equivalent and two years of responsible employment.
  • Experience in Human Services or related field preferred.
  • For Residential Care Facility (RCF): Level 1 Med Aid credential and insulin certification within 90 days.

Responsibilities

  • Admit, supervise, monitor, transfer, and discharge clients/patients.
  • Monitor vital signs and respond to critical symptoms.
  • Facilitate group rehabilitative support, education, recovery skills.
  • Document and report exceptional behavior and concerns.
  • Assist with personal care and daily activities as needed.
  • Maintain records of medications and monitor self-administration.
  • Foster adaptive behavior and positive social interaction.
  • Participate as a team member to identify client strengths and needs.
