Burrell Behavioral Health in Farmington, MO is hiring a Behavioral Health Technician I to provide direct oversight and support to clients in daily activities, monitor health indicators, and respond to crises in a compassionate setting.

Responsibilities include documenting behaviors, assisting with personal care, managing medications, and participating in a treatment team to support recovery and safety for clients and patients.

Qualifications

  • High School education or equivalent and two years of responsible employment.
  • Experience in Human Services or a related field is preferred.
  • For St. Louis County Programs: Bachelor’s Degree, or MAADC I or II.
  • For Residential Care Facility: LIMA credential and Insulin Certification within 90 days.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct oversight and support to clients, ensuring safety throughout daily activities.
  • Monitor vital signs and health indicators, escalate to medical intervention as needed.
  • Facilitate group education and structured activities to promote recovery.
  • Document and report exceptional behaviours or concerns related to clients.
  • Assist with personal care needs such as grooming and dressing when required.
  • Maintain records of medication administration and self-administration monitoring.
  • Participate in treatment planning and identify client strengths and needs.
  • Ensure compliance with policies including medication storage and documentation.
  • Provide transportation for clients to appointments as needed.
  • Attend staff meetings and training sessions.
