Job summary

Oakwood Springs in Oklahoma City seeks a Behavioral Health Tech to support the therapeutic milieu under the direction of the RN, ensuring the schedule is delivered, patients are supervised, safety is maintained, and patients and guests are treated with respect and dignity.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• License: Valid driver's license and favorable MVR, with proof of insurance when using personal/hospital vehicle.
• Certification: CPR certification within 30 days of employment and prior to patient contact.
• CPI: Crisis Prevention Training within 30 days and prior to patient contact.
• Additional age-specific training within 30 days as required.
• Where applicable, must obtain and maintain agency affiliation.

Responsibilities

• Support the therapeutic milieu under the direction of the RN, ensuring the schedule/program is delivered, supervise patients, maintain safety, and treat patients and guests with respect and dignity.

What We're Looking For

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• License: Will require valid driver's license and a favorable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), along with proof of insurance when using personal or hospital owned vehicle
• Certification: CPR certification within 30 days of employment and prior to patient contact
• Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days of employment and prior to patient contact
• Completion of additional age specific training within 30 days of employment as required
• Where applicable, must obtain and maintain agency affiliation

Minimum Work Experience

• Previous experience in a psychiatric health facility, with direct experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric and geriatric patients preferred
• Additional Requirements: Must be at least 21 years of age
