Job summary

Oakwood Springs, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking an RN specialized in Behavioral Health for PRN shifts in Oklahoma City. You will deliver patient-centered care, lead shifts, and ensure adherence to policies while supporting clinical, operations, and administrative objectives.

Requirements include an active RN license in the state (or compact), an associate degree in nursing (BSN preferred), and BLS certification. Prior Behavioral Health experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in applicable state (state or compact).
• Associate's degree in nursing; BSN preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience in Behavioral Health preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient and plan care within set timeframes; document findings.
• Oversee and supervise the shift.
• Demonstrate leadership; delegate tasks as needed.
• Ensure nursing policies and procedures are followed and maintain exemplary patient care.
• Monitor patient for changes and respond; notify physician as needed.
• Follow hospital policy for medication administration.
• Demonstrate empathy, dignity, and respect when interacting with patients.
• Deliver quality nursing care to support treatment goals.
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments.
• Support department needs with clinical, operational, and administrative excellence.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

How you'll contribute

A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:

• Will assess the patient and plan care within set timeframes and document findings according to policies
• Will oversee and supervise the shift
• Demonstrates leadership through duties that may include delegating tasks such as groups, close observation, meal supervision, etc.
• Will also oversee staff to ensure nursing policies and procedures are followed and exemplary patient care is consistently delivered by self and all members of the team
• Will monitor patient for change of condition and respond accordingly up to and including notification of the physician
• RN will follow hospital policy for medication administration
• RN will consistently use empathy, dignity, and respect when interacting with patients
• Delivery of quality nursing care to ensure that goals of the treatment plan are properly executed following hospital policies and procedures and demonstrated nursing competencies
• Assists/performs comprehensive nursing assessments on all patients
• This position is responsible for supporting the needs of the department with a focus on clinical, operational, and administrative excellence.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for
