Wexford Health Sources, Inc. at Western New Mexico - North Correctional Facility in Grants, NM is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to support patients' mental health and daily stability.

You'll lead group activities, supervise housing units, and help implement treatment plans across multidisciplinary teams. This hands-on role requires a Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field, and current CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or related field.
• Current CPR certification.
• Knowledge of therapeutic activity programs; ability to plan and participate in recreation activities; and ability to prepare, set up and maintain equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate therapeutic group activities to support engagement and progress.
• Provide direct supervision and support to patients within mental health programs and housing unit.
• Observe patient behavior and report changes to the clinical team to support ongoing care decisions.
• Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans through structured activities and interventions.
• Evaluate patient capabilities and suggest appropriate program participation.
• Offer one-on-one support and instruction to reinforce coping skills and daily functioning.
• Maintain accurate administrative and clinical documentation related to patient care and activities.
• Coordinate and manage supplies and materials for therapeutic programming.
• Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure activities align with clinical goals and patient needs.
• Follow all behavioral health policies, procedures, and facility protocols to maintain a safe and structured environment.

Position Summary

As a Behavioral Health Technician at our facility, you'll be an essential part of the multidisciplinary team, working directly with patients to support their mental health and daily stability. In this hands‑on role, you will help guide therapeutic activities, reinforce treatment plans, and provide structured support to individuals with mental illness or developmental needs. Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and facilitating therapeutic group activities designed to support patient engagement and progress
• Providing direct supervision and support to patients within mental health programs and housing unit
• Observing patient behavior and reporting changes to the clinical team to support ongoing care decisions
• Assisting in the implementation of individualized treatment plans through structured activities and interventions

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field
• Current CPR certification
