Position Overview

As a Behavioral Health Technician at our facility, you’ll be an essential part of the multidisciplinary team, working directly with patients to support their mental health and daily stability. In this hands‑on role, you will help guide therapeutic activities, reinforce treatment plans, and provide structured support to individuals with mental illness or developmental needs. Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and facilitating therapeutic group activities designed to support patient engagement and progress
• Providing direct supervision and support to patients within mental health programs and housing unit
• Observing patient behavior and reporting changes to the clinical team to support ongoing care decisionsAssisting in the implementation of individualized treatment plans through structured activities and interventions
• Evaluating patient capabilities and recommending appropriate program participation
• Offering one‑on‑one support and instruction to reinforce coping skills and daily functioning
• Maintaining accurate administrative and clinical documentation related to patient care and activities
• Coordinating and managing supplies and materials needed for therapeutic programming
• Collaborating with the treatment team to ensure activities align with clinical goals and patient needs
• Following all behavioral health policies, procedures, and facility protocols to maintain a safe and structured environment

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field
• Current CPR certification
• Knowledge of the principles and practices of therapeutic activity programs; ability to plan, organize, direct, and participate in recreation/leisure activities; and ability to prepare, set‑up and maintain equipment related to therapeutic activities (Preferred)
