Job summary

Diversified Treatment Alternative Centers (DTAC) seeks a Behavioral Health Technician for our adolescent boys residential facility in Columbus, Ohio. This full-time role includes all shifts with a $19.00–$21.00 hourly pay and a $2.00/hour differential on the 2nd shift.

You will work directly with youth in a structured therapeutic setting and participate in programming. The position emphasizes safety, supervision, crisis management, and collaborative care with clinical staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Strong communication, documentation, and crisis management skills are essential.
• Valid transportation is required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety, supervision, and well-being of residents.
• Provide structure and implement behavioral interventions.
• Document interactions and progress using EMR and daily logs.
• Co-facilitate therapy and psychoeducational groups.
• Support residents in achieving individualized treatment goals.

Available Shifts

• 1st Shift: 7:00 am – 3:00 pm
• 2nd Shift: 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm (+$2.00/hour differential)
• 3rd Shift: 11:00 pm – 7:00 am
• Weekend availability required as scheduled

Position Summary

The Behavioral Health Technician serves as a frontline mentor and support system for youth in a residential treatment setting. This role combines direct supervision, behavioral support, and participation in therapeutic programming to promote stability, safety, and progress toward treatment goals.

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in behavioral health, social services, residential treatment, or a related field
• Strong communication, documentation, and crisis management skills
• Valid transportation

Work Location
