Job summary

Guidelight Health is seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Technician to support patients undergoing PHP/IOP treatment at our onsite Sisters Grove location.

Under supervision of licensed professionals, you will implement treatment plans, assist with daily activities, and help ensure a safe, therapeutic environment for both adults and adolescents.

The role includes administration duties, coverage for CSC tasks, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to promote recovery and well-being.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, social work, Education, Human Services or a related field.
• 1-2 years experience working in the Behavioral health setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Compassionate, empathetic, and nonjudgmental approach to patient care.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
• Must pass background checks and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to patients during treatment, including activities of daily living, therapeutic exercises, and recreational activities.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient behaviors, progress, and responses to treatment interventions; report changes to the clinical team.
• Assist in managing crisis situations and apply crisis intervention techniques as trained.
• Engage patients in therapeutic activities to promote self-awareness, emotional regulation, and interpersonal skills development.
• Collaborate with licensed therapists, psychiatrists, nurses, and other staff for coordinated care.
• Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, treatment modalities, and coping strategies.
• Monitor the environment to ensure safety and security of patients, staff, and visitors.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.

Title: Behavioral Health Technician

Reportsto: Executive Director

Department/Location: Onsite, Sisters Grove

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30-5:00pm MST, 100% onsite at the Sisters Grove location. Will work with both the adult and adolescent IOP/PHP program.

Important: This role requires flexibility to provide coverage for Clinical Service Coordinator (CSC) duties as needed based on clinic needs, including supporting front desk operations, patient scheduling, incoming calls, insurance verification, and other administrative responsibilities.

Role Summary: Guidelight Health isseekinga dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Health Technician to join our team. The Behavioral Health Technician will play a crucial role in providing direct support and assistance to patients undergoing mental health treatment. Under the supervision of licensed mental health professionals, the Behavioral Health Technician will implement treatment plans,facilitate therapeutic activities, and ensure the safety and well-being of patients within our care.

Role Responsibilities:

Behavioral Health Technician Duties:

• Patient Support and Assistance: Provide direct support to patients during various aspects of treatment, including activities of daily living, therapeutic exercises, and recreational activities.

• Observation and Documentation:Maintainaccurateand detailed records of patient behaviors, progress, and responses to treatment interventions. Report any significant changes or concerns to the clinical team promptly.

• Crisis Intervention:Assistin managing and de-escalating crisis situations effectively and safely. Implementappropriate crisisintervention techniques as trained and directed by clinical supervisors.

• Therapeutic Engagement: Engage patients in therapeutic activities and interventions designed to promote self-awareness, emotional regulation, and interpersonal skills development.

• Collaborative Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members, including licensed therapists, psychiatrists, nurses, and other support staff, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients.

• Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment modalities, and coping strategies to promote understanding and active participation in the recovery process.

• Safety and Security:Monitorthe environment to ensure the safety and security of patients, staff, and visitors. Adhere to established protocols and procedures formaintaining a safe treatment environment.

• Professional Development:Participatein ongoing training and professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills in the field of behavioral health and patient care.

Administration Duties (based on clinic needs):

• Welcome patients and visitors warmly and professionally, manage incoming calls, and direct inquiries to the appropriate team members.

• Schedule and coordinate patient appointments, working closely with clinical staff to support a smooth patient experience.

• Verify insurance information, assist with billing questions, maintain accurate patient records, and support general administrative tasks.

• Maintain an organized and welcoming reception area while adhering to company policies, confidentiality standards, and HIPAA regulations.

Required Qualifications:

Pay Range: $26 - $33 USD
