Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of security operations and safety practices.
• Experience with conflict resolution.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with staff and residents.
• Ability to understand and follow standard operating procedures, to perform duties in a professional manner, to write and investigate required reports; to make independent and good judgment decisions.
• Ability to detect problems and report information to appropriate personnel.
• Ability to work night shifts and flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Assists in creating and maintaining a therapeutic environment for substance abuse clients and ensures client safety.
• Accompanies clients to medical appointments, meals, AA meetings, activities and field trips for safety and support.
• Maintains security measures, conducts checks, and reports issues to authorities as needed.
• Performs housekeeping and sanitation duties to maintain a safe environment for clients and staff.
• Participates with clinical teams in groups and documents client whereabouts and behavior observations.
• Assists nursing staff with vitals and care for detox clients, following biohazard protocols.
