Job summary

Wise Path Recovery Center in Westover, WV is seeking a Behavioral Health Tech (BHT) to support clients across the treatment journey, from admission to discharge. This role helps maintain a safe, structured, and recovery-oriented environment, aiding daily routines, treatment goals, and safety under trauma-informed care.

The position collaborates with clinical staff to provide hands-on client support during substance use and co-occurring disorders, crisis moments, and early recovery challenges,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities, recreation, and appointments.
• Provide orientation to new clients including rules, schedules, and facility layout.
• Review client participation in recovery activities and communicate observations to staff.
• Facilitate psychoeducational, recovery, or skills-based groups under supervision.
• Support clients in emotional, social, or health crises and escalate as needed.
• Assist clients with vocational, recovery, and post-discharge goals.
