Job summary

Baptist Health in central Alabama seeks a part-time Mental Health Technician to support patient care under the Charge Nurse or RN. You will assist with daily living activities, admission and discharge processes, and orient new patients to the unit.

You may lead or co-facilitate patient groups, perform safety checks, and carry out other care tasks. The role requires CNA/PCT certification or equivalent experience, good communication, and the ability to work in a third-shift environment at

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Technician Certification or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care at the direction of the Charge Nurse or RN.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and with admission/discharge procedures.
• Lead or co-facilitate patient groups and orient new patients to the unit.
• Complete safety/location checks of all patients and other duties as assigned by the Charge Nurse.
• May have additional duties within the scope of the role.
