Baptist Health - Central Alabama is seeking a Mental Health Technician to provide vital patient care at the Prattville Baptist Hospital. This role requires assisting patients with daily activities, ensuring safety, and facilitating therapeutic groups, under nursing supervision.
The ideal candidate is a High School graduate with a CNA or PCT certification, possessing strong communication skills and an ability to handle stressful situations. The position offers full-time hours on the third shift.

The Mental Health Technician shall provide patient care at the direction of the Charge Nurse or Registered Nurse. The Technician shall assist patients with activities of daily living, admission and discharge procedures, lead or serve as co‑facilitator for patient groups, orient new patients to the unit environment, and perform safety/location checks of all patients. The Technician may have additional duties assigned that are in scope of the role.
High School graduate or equivalent required. Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Technician Certification or equivalent experience.
CNA or PCT certification preferred, BLS required. Additional certifications (Secure, etc.) may be required depending on area assigned.
