Job summary

Discovery Behavioral Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Tech (BHT) to support patients throughout treatment, from admission to discharge. The role includes ensuring safety, providing interventions, leading groups, and assisting with treatment planning and daily needs.

The BHT will support nursing staff, document shift notes, and participate in crisis situations. On-site position in Montverde, FL with PRN, on-call shifts and hourly compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One or more years of experience in mental health, substance use, or eating disorder field preferred.
• Valid and unrestricted State Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to DBH policies and procedures.
• Provide patient safety and interventions as part of treatment planning.
• Lead psychoeducational groups and support daily treatment activities.
• Maintain confidentiality and accurate documentation (shift notes, group notes).
• Transport patients as needed and ensure transportation safety.
