Job summary

WellSpan York Hospital is seeking a dedicated CNA to support the psychiatric unit. The role is full-time with a weekend option, totaling 36 hours per weekend, Friday through Monday, with shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM.

Responsibilities include patient care with emphasis on safety and comfort, assisting the care team, helping patients with daily activities, monitoring vital signs, and documenting observations. May involve restraints under medical supervision as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CNA certificate or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides care to patients with safety, comfort and therapeutic environment in mind.
• Assists team members in patient care and evaluation.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living.
• Checks patients' vital signs.
• Charts observations of vital signs accurately and legibly.
• May assist with applying restraints or seclusion under physician/RN supervision.
