Centers for Independence in West Allis, WI is seeking staff for a residential care role at Ohio House. This position involves direct psychiatric care of adults with severe mental illness, helping residents learn daily living skills, socialization, and coping strategies.

You will administer medications under RN supervision, document behaviors, coordinate transportation, and support residents in meals, hygiene, and daily routines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience with adults with severe and persistent mental illness.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Must understand DHS 83 regulations.

Responsabilités

• Assist residents in learning independent living skills per ISP.
• Administer medications under supervision of Residential RN.
• Document residents' daily behavior and routines.
• Report changes to supervisor, RN, or physician.
• Train new staff and ensure hygiene and grooming.
• Coordinate transportation to day programs or work.
• Plan, prepare and serve nutritious meals; supervise food prep.
• Attend required trainings and meetings; follow DHS 83 rules.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness, and emergency procedures.
