Job summary

Beckett Springs Behavioral Health Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks a dedicated Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to maintain a safe therapeutic milieu and support patient care in a busy behavioral health setting. You will assist with vital signs, documentation, and group activities, and you’ll help orient new staff as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience: Prior work in a psychiatric health-care facility with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric, or geriatric patients preferred.
• Certifications: CPR and de-escalation certification required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Observe and maintain a safe environment through regular patient checks, safety monitoring, contraband searches, and one-on-one supervision as needed.
• Take vital signs, collect specimens, document care, and assist with group education and monitoring of patients.
