Sea Grove Recovery in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, is hiring a Behavioral Health Technician to support adults in substance use and co-occurring disorders. The role involves milieu management, rounds, and accurate documentation to assist the clinical team in treatment planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred; 1-3 years of related work experience preferred.
• Eligible to become a Peer Counselor as part of career development.
• Experience in behavioral health settings is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Active member of the treatment team providing continuous patient care and supervision.

Responsibilities

We are now hiring Behavioral Health Technician at Sea Grove Recovery.

Located in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, Sea Grove Recovery will provide substance use treatment for adults, as well as dual diagnosis treatment for adults with a co-occurring mental health disorder. The 41-bed facility is in a serene, wooded environment and is designed to maximize healing and meet the needs of every patient who attends treatment. Sea Grove offers a partial hospitalization program (PHP) that takes place for most of the day throughout the week with PHP lodging available. The program allows for those in our care to receive treatments and therapies throughout the day in an environment conducive to healing and a treatment plan built around their individual needs. In addition to the substance use program, Sea Grove Recovery is equipped to provide treatment to those with a substance use disorder and a co-occurring mental health disorder.

The Behavioral Health Technician functions as an active part of the treatment team and is responsible for providing continuous patient care and supervision for all clients.

BHTs will be responsible for milieu management, such as conducting rounds, documenting behavioral progress, mood changes, incidents, and daily observations accurately for clinical staff, and utilizing approved de-escalation techniques and safety protocols

Work closely with nurses, social workers, and staff to reinforce coping strategies and provide guidance

Assist clients with daily living activities, hygiene, meal monitoring, and recreational or educational programs

Escort or transport clients to community activities, external appointments, or other agencies when required
