Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England is seeking a Mental Health Worker / Behavioral Health Technician for the Behavioral Health Unit at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Stafford Springs, CT. The role focuses on engaging patients in recovery-oriented activities, communicating needs to the clinical team, monitoring safety, and supporting a healing environment on the unit.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; related experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field preferred.
• Experience in psychiatric settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient observations and other patient care activities.
• Observe patient behavior.
• Record vital signs, ADLs, and document them.
• Respond rapidly to emergency call lights and perform safety checks.
• Provide group and individual interventions to support recovery.
