Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Prior BH Technician or similar role experience is required.
• Substance use disorder or behavioral health treatment experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to provide leadership without formal supervisory authority.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
• Calm, professional, patient‑focused under high stress.
• Reliable attendance and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient support and maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment.
• Support adherence to facility rules, structure, and expectations.
• Communicate unit needs, concerns, and observations to nursing and leadership.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies per facility protocols.
• Document observations, incidents, and interventions accurately and timely in the EMR.

At Strive Recovery of Fort Wayne, our Tech Leads play a vital role in supporting daily operations, patient safety, and team coordination. This position is ideal for an experienced Behavioral Health Technician who demonstrates strong leadership skills, reliability, and the ability to support both patient care and operational flow, including transportation needs.

Shift

1st shift 7a-7p or 2nd shift 7p-7a

Job Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient support and maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment
• Support adherence to facility rules, structure, and expectations
• Communicate unit needs, concerns, and observations to nursing and leadership
• Respond to incidents and emergencies in accordance with facility protocols
• Document observations, incidents, and interventions accurately and timely in the EMR

Qualifications
