Job summary

Clive Behavioral Health, part of Universal Health Services, Inc., is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to join a dedicated treatment team. You will provide continuous patient care, supervision, and role modeling for patients ranging from preschool through geriatrics in a crisis-focused setting.

Under the supervision of an RN, you will support patient stabilization, participate in care planning, and help implement treatment plans.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED; CNA preferred; degree in social work or related field highly desirable.
• Experience: Two years of related experience with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques.
• Required licenses/certifications: CPR and training in Management Aggressive Behavior; Mandatory Reporter certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• The Mental Health Technician provides continuous patient care, supervision, interaction and role modeling to patients from preschool to geriatrics.
• Work under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) and may require weekends, overtime and flexible hours.

Responsibilities

Clive Behavioral Health opened in February 2021 with 100 inpatient beds for adult, child & adolescent patients experiencing a severe behavioral health crisis. Care at this location focuses on crisis management, stabilization and development of a plan to return to community living with, if needed, supportive outpatient services and community services and resources.

Qualifications

Behavioral Health Technician

The Mental Health Technician functions as an active part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction and role modeling to patients ranging in ages from preschool through geriatrics. All MHT’s work under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN). MHT’s may be required to work weekends, overtime and have flexible hours.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or GED required. Certified Nursing Assistant preferred; Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, recreational therapy or appropriate therapeutic discipline highly desirable.

Experience: Two (2) years of related experience, with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness, preferred.

Required License/Certification: Successful completion of Management Aggressive Behavior Training, Service Excellence Training and CPR certification required. Certifications may be obtained during new hire orientation. Current Mandatory Reporter for Adult/Child.

Shifts available: 7am-7pm, 3:00pm-11:30pm & 7pm-7am
