Job summary

New Oakland Family Services seeks a Behavioral Health Support Technician and Driver to support the FACE to FACE Partial Hospital Program and provide direct consumer support, administrative tasks, and safe transportation.

The role emphasizes collaboration with clinical and administrative teams to promote positive outcomes, with a Monday–Friday schedule and an hourly wage of $17–$18, commensurate with experience. A high school diploma and valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology or related field preferred.
• Mental health experience preferred.
• Proficiency in data entry and EMR systems preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with an approved driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe transportation, co-facilitate group therapy, and offer daily consumer support to achieve milieu goals.
• Manage crises with CPI-interventions, CPR, and respond to elopement while ensuring safety during meals.
• Monitor and supervise consumers according to rotation schedules, maintain a clean environment, and handle bodily fluid cleanups.
• Assist with site screening, answer phones, schedule and confirm appointments, and help open/close the office.
• Collect patient payments, complete intake paperwork, and obtain vital signs (BP, HR, weight, height).
• Assist in coordinating lab work, consents, and Telehealth processes with internal/external entities.
• Support lab specimen collection and medication inventory activities.
• Develop transportation routes by analyzing traffic patterns and client locations to enhance efficiency.
• Complete documentation per clinic procedures and provide coverage at various locations as directed.
• Maintain professional boundaries and participate in team meetings.
