Job summary

TrueNorth Wellness Services in Hanover, PA is seeking a part-time specialist for the Supported Housing Program. Duties include aiding individuals with mental health diagnoses, promoting independent living in York/Adams County, and facilitating transport to appointments and activities.

Responsibilities also cover landlord mediation, connecting clients to resources, and applying trauma-informed care. Weekend holidays are not required; schedule is Mon-Fri with flexibility in shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Pass Initial Screening, PA Criminal check, and Motor Vehicle Clearances.
• Physically able to complete CPR/First Aid.
• Must have a valid Driver's License and a clean driving record.
• Must be reliable, professional, and trustworthy.
• Ability to work independently.
• Should be organized, motivated, and have strong time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance and advocacy for individuals living with mental health diagnoses.
• Assist individuals to maintain independent living within the York/Adams County community.
• Utilize agency vehicle to transport individuals to and from appointments, community outings, and other scheduled activities.
• Provide mediation with landlords on behalf of individuals to maintain housing.
• Assist individuals with linking to community resources and services.
• Model a strength-founded and recovery-oriented approach.
• Be well versed or willing to learn about Trauma-informed Care and practice it in everyday work environment.
