Job summary

Acadia Healthcare is seeking a compassionate caregiver to provide personal care services to patients at our Reading facility under clinical supervision. You will support patient safety, assist with daily living activities, and document observations to help the care team deliver effective treatment.

Responsibilities include engaging patients in rehabilitative activities and maintaining a safe, respectful environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months or more experience working with the specific population of the facility preferred.
• CPR and de‑escalation and restraint certification required (training available upon hire).
• First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate urgency related to patient safety and provide excellent customer services.
• Ensure well‑being of patients and provide a positive, supportive environment.
• Document timely, accurate clinical information in patient records.
• Assist with activities of daily living as needed (toileting, bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, hydration).
• Engage patients in educational‑rehabilitative groups and activities to support treatment goals.
