The Behavioral Health Supervisor position, under the direction of the Executive Director, is responsible for the supervision of the substance abuse counselors who provide treatment and care management to patients enrolled in a medication for opioid use disorder treatment clinic. The Behavioral Health Supervisor has oversight of all clinical tasks and ensures that the counselors are completing documentation timely and patient services are being received following all city, state, and federal regulations and performance standards. The Behavioral Health Supervisor is also responsible for providing individual and group supervision to the counselor staff on a regular, consistent basis.Job Description
Essential Functions
* Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
* Ensure efficient and effective delivery of counseling services to all patients.
* Monitor treatment and counseling of all patients.
* Provide clinical supervision in the form of individual and group to counselors.
* Conduct quality assurance reviews on patient chart regularly for quality and accuracy.
* Review counselor assessments and treatment plans for quality and accuracy.
* Facilitate counselor performance evaluations and discussions.
* Assist in program development activities.
* Job duties are performed in compliance with departmental & regulatory standards.
Competencies (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required):
Knowledge of substance abuse disorders and behavioral health disorders
Knowledge of evidence based treatment interventions (e.g., CBT, DBT, MI, ACT, or Trauma-Informed)
Knowledge of theoretical perspectives and modalities of providing clinical supervision.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Education:
Master's Degree from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, human services, or other related field.
AND
Experience:
At least 1-2 years of experience working in a clinic focused on chemical dependency and/or substance abuse related issues or general behavioral health issues.
ASAM Certification preferred, but can be completed within first 2 months of taking role.
Minimum Certifications, Registration or License Requirements:
ASAM Certification (preferred), LSW (preferred), LPC (preferred), LCSW (preferred), CAADC (preferred)
