Job summary

Banner Health in Tucson, AZ seeks a Behavioral Health Specialist Resource Float to provide direct psychiatric care across units. You will perform ADLs, monitor vital signs, and maintain a therapeutic milieu with a focus on safety and patient dignity.

Ideal candidates bring inpatient BH experience, a BLS certification, and the ability to float between campuses during 12-hour shifts, including nights with differential pay and weekend options.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral health field or a high school diploma with 1 year of inpatient behavioral health care.
• Experience in inpatient psychiatric settings and ability to supervise, observe and de-escalate.
• Must obtain Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care including ADLs, vital signs, and observation checks.
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment and monitor patient status.
• Assist with admission, discharge and transfer documentation and care planning.
• Intervene in crises using non-violent de-escalation techniques.
