IMT team members share responsibility for helping individuals attain housing and other personal and safety goals.

The Specialist engages participants through harm reduction strategies, including motivational interviewing and stage-wise interventions, and provides support related to mental health and co-occurring substance use. Responsibilities include screening and assessing participants, developing person-centered treatment plans, advocating for participants within criminal justice and shelter systems, and providing harm reduction services.
