Job summary

The Dimock Center is seeking a Behavioral Health Specialist to monitor clients during detox and support early recovery within a collaborative team. The role involves interacting with patients, assisting with admission and discharge, and ensuring a safe, therapeutic living environment.

Responsibilities include conducting intake documentation, facilitating recovery-focused groups, and coordinating with nursing and other staff to provide evidence-based care in a 24-hour clinical stabilization

Qualifications

• Experience in medical/office settings and comfort interacting with patients.
• Significant experience with Substance Use Disorder or related human services preferred.
• Demonstrates ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Relate to clients and colleagues in a compassionate, professional, and respectful manner.
• Assure safety and support to all clients admitted to The Dimock Center.
• Assess, communicate effectively, and maintain therapeutic boundaries through setting limits and enforcing structure.
• Support milieu staff in safety checks, admissions, and discharge processes.
• Facilitate groups about the Recovery and Addiction process.
