Job summary

The Emily Program in Dunwoody, GA is hiring a Behavioral Health Specialist to support PHP milieu by leading therapeutic skills groups, meal support at mealtimes, and teaching recovery skills. The role includes documentation, team collaboration, and resident coaching within a structured, recovery-oriented setting.

Full-time schedule (40 hrs/wk) features four 10-hour shifts with rotating weekend coverage, at our Atlanta Eating Disorder Treatment Center. Benefits are included per full-time plan.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a mental health-related field is required. If the degree is not in mental health, a related field with equivalent experience is acceptable.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be authorized to drive.
  • Previous direct mental health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates therapy groups including skills groups, self-monitoring groups, and experiential activity groups.
  • Participates in therapeutic supported meals and snacks.
  • Contributes to the creation and maintenance of a recovery-oriented therapeutic environment.
  • Provide resident support and in-the-moment skills coaching.
  • Participates in treatment team, mini team, therapy team, supervision, and/or case consultation meetings and seeks supervision when needed.
  • Completes clinical documentation in compliance with company policies.

Position Overview

The Behavioral Health Specialist supports the PHP milieu by facilitating therapeutic skills groups, self-monitoring and activity groups, providing therapeutic meal support at mealtimes and snacks, assisting clients in acquiring skills to manage their eating disorder, maintaining a recovery-oriented environment, and providing general support and assistance

Schedule
  • Full Time, 1.0 FTE - 40hrs/wk, working (4) 10hr shifts per week.
  • Shifts can be scheduled for either 9:00 am-7:00 pm or 7:00am to 5:00pm depending on site need.
  • Every other Saturday or Sunday

Compensation Disclosure

Starting hourly between $21-25

Final Compensation offered will be within pay range based on qualifications/experience met for the position

  • Participates in therapeutic supported meals and snacks
  • Contributes to the creation and maintenance of a recovery-oriented therapeutic environment
  • Provide resident support and in-the-moment skills coaching
  • Participates in treatment team, mini team, therapy team, supervision, and/or case consultation meetings and seeks supervision when needed
  • Completes clinical documentation in compliance with The Emily Program and Veritas policies and regulatory standard
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in mental health-related field required. If degree is not in a mental health-related field, a degree in another field and equivalent experience required.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and be authorized to drive.
  • Previous direct mental health experience preferred
