Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN), with nearly 23,000 colleagues, is seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Specialist to support HIV-impacted individuals and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. This role involves completing assessments, developing treatment plans, facilitating referrals, and providing therapeutic interventions within a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and identify patients' behavioral health needs and barriers to care.
• Employ various therapeutic modalities and demonstrate expertise in DSM-5 classification, multicultural issues, and counseling skills.
• Document medical records accurately and timely, complying with standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to meet patient care needs and coordinate care transitions.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master's Degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in mental health counseling or social work.
• Ability to respond effectively to emergencies and establish program goals.
• Knowledge of behavioral health services, differential diagnosis, and public health principles.
• Licensure as an LCSW or LPC in Pennsylvania upon hire.

Physical Demands

Lift and carry up to 7 lbs., frequent sitting and keyboard use, fine motor activities.
