Job summary

San Francisco AIDS Foundation seeks a Manager, Behavioral Health Services to supervise enrollment, coordinate care, and oversee counseling for individuals living with HIV and substance use. This role manages intake from first contact to discharge, ensuring clinical quality and program integrity.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in Counseling/Social Work/Marriage & Family Therapy, is licensed (LPCC/LMFT/LCSW) in California, with at least two years of counseling experience and proficiency in

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required (Counseling, Social Work, or LMFT/LPCC/LCSW).
• CA state licensure as LPCC, LMFT, or LCSW required.
• Two years of counseling experience, preferably with SFAF’s Priority communities.
• Experience with or interest in services for active/injection and/or alcohol use.
• Experience with DSM-V diagnosis and MAR/EMR knowledge (EPIC/Welligent) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage enrollment from intake to counselor assignment.
• Ensure contract compliance and program quality improvements.
• Provide group and individual integrated mental health and HIV counseling.
• Support staff with EHR systems, reporting, and data training.
• Provide clinical supervision for staff counselors and interns.
