The position is hourly, with shifts from 6am–2pm, 2pm–10pm, and 10pm–6am.

Qualifications

• Formal education in arithmetic that includes fractions, decimals & percentages & reading & writing English vocabulary.
• Probationary period is one year.
• Valid driver's license.
• Option A: completion of approved Basic Peace Officer Training program. Option B: 20 years of active duty as peace officer.

Responsibilities

• Patrol hospital grounds and buildings on foot and by vehicle to ensure safety and security.
• Check doors, windows, fires, hazards, or security breaches.
• Monitor traffic and parking areas; verify permits and issue citations.
• Respond to codes, alarms, and emergencies; assist with evacuations and safety drills.
• Investigate complaints and disturbances; escort staff and patients as needed.
• Maintain incident logs, reports, and communications between staff.
