Job summary

Legacy Behavioral Health Services is hiring a Safety Officer for the Behavioral Health Crisis Center in Valdosta, GA. You will patrol, monitor, and safeguard staff, visitors, and patients, with rapid response to security emergencies and support for clinical staff as needed.

Requires a high school diploma or GED, Mindset certification (or ability to obtain within 1 month), and a valid driver’s license. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are advantageous and energy-conscious, safety-focused

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have Mindset certification or ability to pass within the first month.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Patrol and monitor premises to ensure a safe environment for consumers, visitors, and employees.
• Respond rapidly to security emergencies and assist staff during crises.
• Enforce organizational rules, assist with parking, and accompany staff during patient transport.
• Monitor weather, de-escalate conflicts, and support nursing/clinical staff as needed.
