Job summary

SSM Health Midwest City Behavioral Health seeks a RN for PRN shifts in the Adults unit. Provides direct patient care, completes admissions and assessments, and coordinates multidisciplinary plans per unit policies.

Works with LPNs and techs, documents care in the EHR, and educates patients and families as needed to support recovery. The role requires an accredited nursing program graduate and an active RN license in the applicable state, with BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing with RN license.
• BLS certification required.
• 1 year of Behavioral Health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care to behavioral health patients according to facility policies.
• Performs admissions and shift assessments and reports changes to physicians.
• Documents nursing care in the EHR and adheres to standards and procedures.
• Serves as a resource and supervises care provided by LPNs and techs.
• Educates patients and families based on assessed needs and updates education in the EHR.
