Job summary

Twin County Regional Healthcare in Virginia is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) in Behavioral Health for PRN, various shifts. Join a dedicated BH team focused on compassionate, patient-centered care and collaborative interdisciplinary practice.

You will perform assessments, document medical necessity, and implement nursing interventions tailored to adults in the Behavioral Health Unit. The BHU is a 12-bed unit with plans to expand; current benefits include medical/dental/vision coverage, PTO,

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license (single-state) or compact license.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Handle with Care within 6 months of hire.
• ACLS and PALS are preferred.
• One year of med/surg or behavioral health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Performs timely and accurate documentation in the medical record.
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments.
